Bus
To reach Beale Cottage using public transport, start at the Hamilton Transport Centre located at 5 Bryce Street, Hamilton. From there, take the bus number 10 (Hastings) or number 14 (Hamilton East). These buses run frequently throughout the day. Get off at the stop named 'Beale Street' or you can ask the driver to inform you when you arrive at the closest stop. From the bus stop, walk down Beale Street towards the house at number 11, which will be on your left. Beale Cottage is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Hamilton East, you can walk to Beale Cottage. Start from the Hamilton Gardens, which is a popular attraction. Head east towards Cobham Drive. Turn left onto Cobham Drive and continue until you reach the intersection with Beale Street. Turn right onto Beale Street and walk down the street until you reach number 11, which is on your right. The walk from the gardens should take around 15-20 minutes.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike hire services around Hamilton, such as 'Bike Waikato'. Start your journey from the central Hamilton area and head towards the river paths that connect to the east side. Follow the paths that lead you to Beale Street. Once you reach Beale Street, head south until you arrive at number 11. The cycle ride should take about 15 minutes depending on your starting point.
