    From Napier's city center, head south on Hastings Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Emerson Street. Turn left onto Emerson Street and walk towards the waterfront. Once you reach Marine Parade, turn right and follow the promenade. After about 1 kilometer, you will see the entrance to Centennial Gardens on your left at 54 Coote Road. The gardens are located at Bluff Hill, which is a short uphill walk from the waterfront.

    Catch the local bus from the Napier i-SITE Visitor Information Centre located at 100 Marine Parade. Look for the bus route that goes towards Bluff Hill. Inform the driver you want to get off at Coote Road. The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. After getting off, walk a short distance up Coote Road to reach the entrance of Centennial Gardens.
