From Whangarei, take State Highway 1 (SH1) south towards Auckland. After approximately 30 minutes, take the exit towards Maungaturoto (SH12). Continue on SH12 for about 30 minutes until you reach the town of Maungaturoto. Once in Maungaturoto, follow the signs to Piroa Falls. The falls are located approximately 10 minutes from the town center, and you will turn off onto a gravel road. Parking is available near the trailhead.
