If you're traveling by car, start from Kerikeri, which is about 40 minutes away from Russell. Head south on State Highway 10 towards Paihia. Continue on State Highway 11 through Paihia, and then take the ferry from Paihia to Russell. Once you arrive in Russell, follow the main road until you reach Flagstaff Hill Historic Reserve.
