    If you are starting from the Palmerston North city center, head southeast on Main Street towards the intersection with The Square. Continue straight to follow Main Street as it turns into Rangitikei Street. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Maxwells Line. Follow Maxwells Line for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach Ahimate Reserve, which will be on your right. The entrance is clearly marked.

    Starting from the Palmerston North city center, take the bicycle path along the Manawatu River towards the east. Follow the river path until you reach the intersection with Maxwells Line. Turn left onto Maxwells Line and continue cycling for about 1.5 kilometers. Ahimate Reserve will be on your right side. There are bike racks available at the entrance.

  • Public Transport

    From the Palmerston North city center, take bus route 19 from The Square. The bus will take you towards Awapuni. After about 15 minutes, disembark at the Maxwells Line stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 300 meters east along Maxwells Line. Ahimate Reserve will be on your left. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the most accurate times.
