Turn left onto Albert Street, which will lead you out of the central area. Follow Albert Street until you reach the end, where it intersects with Centennial Drive. Turn right onto Centennial Drive. Continue along Centennial Drive for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see the Hokowhitu Lagoon on your left, with the entrance at 24 Centennial Drive. The walk should take approximately 25 to 30 minutes.

    From the Palmerston North city center, make your way to the nearest bus stop, which can usually be found at The Square. Take Bus Route 12 (Hokowhitu) towards Hokowhitu. The bus will take you directly towards the area. Get off at the 'Hokowhitu Park' stop. From there, walk a short distance along Centennial Drive, and you will arrive at Hokowhitu Lagoon, located at 24 Centennial Drive. The bus ride should take about 15 minutes, and the walk from the bus stop will take around 5 minutes.
