Walking
If you are in the Taupō town center, start at the Taupō i-SITE Visitor Information Centre located at 30 Tongariro Street. Head east on Tongariro Street towards the lakefront, and once you reach the lake, turn left onto Lake Terrace. Continue walking along Lake Terrace for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Northcroft Street. Turn right onto Northcroft Street, and you will find Northcroft Reserve on your left. The walk should take around 25-30 minutes.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Taupō. Start at the Taupō i-SITE Visitor Information Centre at 30 Tongariro Street. Head towards Lake Terrace and cycle along the lakefront heading south for about 1.5 kilometers. At the intersection with Northcroft Street, turn right and continue until you reach Northcroft Reserve. The bike ride will take around 10-15 minutes depending on your speed.

If you prefer using public transport, check the local bus services that operate in Taupō. From the Taupō town center, catch a bus that heads towards the Acacia Bay area. Inform the bus driver that you would like to get off at the Northcroft Street stop. From there, walk back a short distance along Northcroft Street towards the reserve, which will be on your right. The bus ride typically lasts about 10-15 minutes, followed by a 5-minute walk.
