Walking
If you're starting from the Tauranga city center, head south on Devonport Road towards the intersection with Elizabeth Street. Once you reach Elizabeth Street, turn left and continue walking straight. After a few minutes, you will see the signs pointing towards the Matapihi Footbridge. Follow the signs, and you'll arrive at the footbridge, which will lead you to the lookout with stunning views.

Public Transport - Bus
From the Tauranga central bus station, take the bus route heading towards Mount Maunganui. Disembark at the stop closest to Elizabeth Street. From there, walk back towards Elizabeth Street and turn left. Continue walking straight until you see the Matapihi Footbridge. The lookout is at the end of the bridge, providing great views of the surrounding area.

If you are renting a bike, start from the Tauranga waterfront area. Head towards the Strand and follow the cycle path that leads to the Matapihi Footbridge. It will take you along the estuary, providing a scenic route. Once you reach the footbridge, dismount and walk to the lookout for a breathtaking view.
