Bus
From Wanaka town centre, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Ardmore Street. Take the bus towards Cromwell. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Cromwell, get off at the stop closest to State Highway 6. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk along State Highway 6 to reach the Goldfields Mining Centre.
Bike
You can rent a bike in Wanaka from one of the local rental shops. Start from the Wanaka lakefront and head towards the Wanaka-Cromwell Road. Follow this road, which will lead you towards Cromwell. The ride is about 20 km and will take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Cromwell, follow the signs for State Highway 6, and the Goldfields Mining Centre will be on your left.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and up for a long walk, you can head out of Wanaka on the Wanaka-Cromwell Road. This route is approximately 20 km long and will take you around 4-5 hours on foot. Follow the signs for Cromwell, and once you reach the town, make your way to State Highway 6. The Goldfields Mining Centre is located along this highway.
