Walking
If you're starting from the Wellington Waterfront, head north along the waterfront promenade. Keep the water on your left and walk towards the Te Papa Museum. Once you reach Te Papa, continue walking north towards the intersection with Cable Street. Cross Cable Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Wakefield Street. Turn left onto Wakefield Street, and then take the first right onto Victoria Street. Follow Victoria Street until it intersects with Te Ngākau Civic Square, where you'll find the City Gallery Wellington.

To reach City Gallery Wellington by bus, locate the nearest bus stop. You can catch any bus heading towards the city center. Ask the driver to drop you off near the Civic Square stop. Once you get off, walk towards Te Ngākau Civic Square. The City Gallery is located directly in the square, making it easy to find.

Take the Wellington Cable Car from the Lambton Quay station. Ride the tram to the top and enjoy the views. Once you reach the end of the cable car line at Kelburn, exit and walk down to the city center using the track that leads back down to the city. Follow the signs leading to the Botanic Gardens, and from there, make your way towards the Te Ngākau Civic Square. The City Gallery will be prominently located in the square.
