Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Te Aro, head north on Tory Street towards the waterfront. Continue walking straight until you reach Jervois Quay. At this point, turn right onto Jervois Quay and continue walking for approximately 10 minutes. You will see Thor's Hammer located at 101 Jervois Quay, just along the waterfront.

• Public Transport - Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, head to the nearest bus stop on Victoria Street near Te Aro. You can catch a bus that heads towards the Wellington Central area. Make sure to check the bus routes for the ones that stop at Jervois Quay. Once you reach the stop near Jervois Quay, disembark and walk for a few minutes towards 101 Jervois Quay. Note that bus fares typically range from NZD 2.50 to NZD 5.00, depending on your starting point.

• Cycling

  If you have access to a bike, you can cycle from Te Aro to Thor's Hammer. Start by heading towards the waterfront path along the Te Aro foreshore. Follow the cycleway signs which will lead you to Jervois Quay. It's a scenic route that takes about 15 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow the cycling regulations. Remember to check if there's a bike rental option nearby if you do not have your own.
