Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Masaya. Head southeast on the main road (Carretera Masaya) for approximately 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Malecon as you approach the area. Look for the intersection with Avenida 1, turn left, and continue straight until you reach Malecon. There is ample parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees which can vary.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Malecon via public transportation, find a local bus that runs from the Masaya central market to Malecon. Buses are frequent and cost around 10-20 Cordobas (approximately $0.30-$0.60). Inform the bus driver or conductor that you want to go to Malecon, and they will let you know when to get off. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. After you disembark, it’s a short walk to the Malecon.
Tuk-Tuk
Another convenient option is to take a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Masaya. Just tell the driver 'Malecon' and negotiate the fare, which typically ranges from 50 to 100 Cordobas (about $1.50-$3.00) depending on the distance from your starting point. The tuk-tuk will take you directly to the Malecon, and it’s a fun way to experience the local transport culture.
