If you are driving from Masaya Volcano, head east on the main road (Carretera a Masaya). Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the sign for Fortaleza el Coyotepe. The entrance will be on your right at km 28. There is parking available at the base of the hill, and the fort is a short walk up from there.

To reach Fortaleza el Coyotepe by taxi, simply tell the driver 'Fortaleza el Coyotepe' or 'la fortaleza en km 28 Carr. a Masaya'. The ride from the center of Masaya should take approximately 15-20 minutes and will cost around 100-150 NIO (Nicaraguan Cordoba). Ensure you agree on the fare before starting your journey.
