Getting There

  • Walking

    From the central park in Masaya (Parque Central de Masaya), head south on Calle 2 Sur towards the intersection with Calle 1 Este. Turn left onto Calle 1 Este and continue straight. You'll pass local shops and eateries. Keep walking for about 1.5 km until you reach the end of the street where it intersects with the main road (Carretera Masaya). At this point, turn right onto the Carretera Masaya and continue walking for about 3 km. Look for signs pointing to Laguna de Masaya on your left. Follow these signs, and you'll arrive at the lake entrance.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the central park in Masaya, walk to the nearest bus stop on Calle 1 Este. Take a local bus heading towards Laguna de Masaya. The bus fare is usually very affordable. Inform the driver that you are going to Laguna de Masaya. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Look for the signs indicating the Laguna as you approach.
