Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Masaya, start by heading towards the main square (Parque Central de Masaya). From the main square, take the road leading southwest towards the intersection with Carretera Masaya - Granada. Once you reach this intersection, turn left onto Carretera Masaya - Granada and continue walking straight. You will walk past several local shops and stalls. After approximately 1km, you will reach the bus terminal (Terminal de Buses de Masaya). From here, you can take a local bus or taxi to Granada. If you prefer to walk, keep going straight along the main road for about 5-6km until you reach the city of Granada. Once in Granada, ask for directions to C. Real Xalteva, where Xalteva Park is located. The park will be on your right-hand side.

• Local Bus

  From the center of Masaya, you can take a local bus heading towards Granada. Buses frequently leave from the main terminal near the central park. Simply board a bus that indicates 'Granada' and pay the fare (usually around 20-30 Córdoba). The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Granada, get off at the main bus terminal. From there, walk towards C. Real Xalteva, which is a short 10-minute walk. The park is located on your right on this street.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Masaya. Simply tell the driver you would like to go to Xalteva Park in Granada. The ride should take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi fare might range from 300 to 500 Córdoba, so it’s good to negotiate the fare before getting in. Once you arrive in Granada, the taxi will drop you off near C. Real Xalteva, and Xalteva Park will be within walking distance.
