From Matagalpa, head southeast on the main road (Carretera a Jinotega) for about 5 km. Look for the signs directing you to Barrio Francisco Moreno. Turn left onto Unnamed Road. Continue on this road until you reach the hiking area marked as Hajime. There is limited parking available along the road.

Public Transportation
Take a local bus from Matagalpa to Jinotega. Buses leave from the main bus terminal frequently. Once you arrive in Jinotega, you will need to take a taxi or a local bus heading back towards Matagalpa, and request to be dropped off at Barrio Francisco Moreno. From there, it’s a short walk to Hajime along Unnamed Road.

If you are staying in or near Barrio Francisco Moreno, you can easily walk to Hajime. From the center of the barrio, head towards Unnamed Road, and follow the road until you see Hajime on your right. This walk should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.
