Walking
From the center of Rivas, head north on the main road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to San Jorge. Turn left at this intersection and follow the road until you reach the bus station. Here, you can catch a bus to San Juan del Sur. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to get off at Las Cuchillas. Once you arrive in Las Cuchillas, walk towards the marked trails for Cascada de San Ramón. The waterfall is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Rivas, walk to the main bus terminal located in the city center. Look for a bus heading towards San Juan del Sur. The fare is usually around 20-30 Cordobas. After about 30-40 minutes, you will arrive at the bus stop in Las Cuchillas. Once you disembark, head towards the trails that lead to the Cascada de San Ramón, which is a short walk away.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Rivas. Once you have your bike, head out of the city towards San Jorge and follow the signs towards Las Cuchillas. It’s a scenic route, and you’ll enjoy the surrounding nature. The ride should take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Las Cuchillas, park your bike and follow the signs to Cascada de San Ramón.
