Getting There

Walking
From the center of San Juan del Sur, head north on the main road (Calle del Sol) towards the beach. Continue walking straight until you reach the beach area. Once you reach the beach, turn right and follow the coastline. Playa Copal is located approximately 4 kilometers from the town center along the beach path. You will pass by several small beach bars and homes. Keep walking until you see the sign for Playa Copal. It may take about 45 minutes to an hour to walk there, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

Bicycle Rental
Start at the main square in San Juan del Sur. Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops nearby. Once you have your bike, head north on Calle del Sol towards the beach. After reaching the beach, take a right and continue cycling along the coastline. Follow the path for about 4 kilometers until you arrive at Playa Copal. The ride should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated!

From the central bus station in San Juan del Sur, look for the local buses heading towards Playa Maderas or any bus that goes north. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Playa Copal.
