Bus
From central Rivas, head to the main bus terminal located on Avenida 1. Look for buses heading towards San Juan del Sur. The fare is usually around 20 Cordobas. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the San Juan del Sur bus terminal. From there, you will need to take a local taxi or a shared shuttle towards Playa Copal, which is approximately a 15-minute drive.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can find a taxi in central Rivas. Simply tell the driver you would like to go to Playa Copal. The ride will take around 45 minutes, and the fare should range from 400 to 600 Cordobas depending on the time of day and traffic.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, renting a bicycle in Rivas is an option. Head out of Rivas towards the south on the road leading to San Juan del Sur. After cycling for about 9 kilometers, you will reach Playa Copal. Be sure to bring water and sunscreen, as there may be limited shade along the way.
