From Liptako, head south towards the Niger-Benin border. Use Route National 1 (RN1) towards Malanville. Cross the border into Benin at the Malanville border post. Once in Benin, continue on RN1 until you reach the town of Kandi. In Kandi, you will need to switch to Route Nationale 6 (RN6). Follow RN6 until you reach Kofouno, where W National Park is located. The total driving distance is approximately 200 km and may take around 4-5 hours depending on traffic and border crossing times. Ensure to have your passport and any necessary visa for border crossing.

From Liptako, take a local bus or shared taxi heading to Malanville. Buses are available at central bus stations. Upon reaching Malanville, you will need to go through the border crossing into Benin. After crossing, find a bus or shared taxi in Malanville heading to Kandi. Once in Kandi, look for transportation heading to Kofouno or directly to W National Park. Public transportation can take a significant amount of time, approximately 6-8 hours in total depending on waiting times and transfers.

This option may be quicker but be cautious of safety and negotiate fares beforehand. Expect to spend around 8,000-15,000 CFA francs for the entire journey depending on the distance.
