Getting There

  • Car

    From Barup Waterfall, head southeast on the main road towards the Federal Capital Territory. Follow the road for approximately 10 km until you reach the junction at New Karu. Turn left onto the New Karu road and continue straight for about 5 km. You will see signs for Karu Waterfalls. Follow these signs, and after a short drive, you will arrive at the parking area near the entrance to the waterfall.

  • Public Transportation

    Begin your journey at Barup Waterfall by taking a local bus or taxi to the New Karu main bus station. The fare is usually around 200-300 NGN depending on the type of vehicle used. From the New Karu bus station, look for a shared taxi or 'keke' (tricycle) that is heading towards the waterfalls. The fare for this leg of the trip should be around 100-150 NGN. Inform the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Karu Waterfalls.

  • Walking

    If you are already in New Karu, you can walk to the Karu Waterfalls from there. Start from the New Karu bus station and head southeast towards the direction of the waterfall. It is about a 30-minute walk (approximately 2 km). Follow the main road, and you will see signs leading to the waterfall. Please be cautious of traffic and ensure to walk on the side of the road.
