Getting There

  • Car

    From any location within Gashaka Gumti National Park, head towards the main park exit. Follow the direction signs that lead to the nearest town, Serti. Once you exit the park, continue on the road towards Serti and then take the A3 highway in the direction of Ofiki I. After approximately 2 hours of driving, you will reach Ofiki I. From Ofiki I, follow Oke Oba Road for about 15 minutes until you reach Idere Hills. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some roads may be uneven.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Idere Hills using public transportation, first take a bus or shared taxi from Gashaka Gumti National Park to Serti. From Serti, look for a bus heading towards Ofiki I. Once you arrive at Ofiki I, you can either walk or take a local moto-taxi to Oke Oba Road. Inform the driver to drop you off at Idere Hills. The total cost for the bus ride should be around 1,500 NGN, and the moto-taxi may charge around 300 NGN.
