Car

From Gashaka Gumti National Park, head towards the nearest major town, Serti. Take the Serti to Bali Road (A1) and continue south. After approximately 15km, turn right onto the Bali to Yola Road (A2). Continue on A2 for about 70km until you reach Yola. In Yola, follow the signs to the A1 highway heading west towards Lafia. After about 100km, take the exit towards Oyo State. Follow the local roads towards the coordinates 9RHF+6WG, Bayo. The entire journey will take approximately 4-5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Public Transportation

From Gashaka Gumti National Park, take a taxi or motorcycle taxi to the nearest bus terminal in Serti. From there, board a bus heading to Yola. Upon arrival in Yola, transfer to another bus that travels to Oyo State. It's advisable to confirm with the bus driver that they stop at Bayo or the nearest point to Old Oyo National Park. The bus journey will take approximately 6-8 hours, with additional time for transfers. Expect to pay about 1,500-3,000 NGN for the bus fare, depending on the distance and the bus company.
