Car
If you are driving from the IITA Forest Reserve, start by exiting the reserve's main gate. Turn left onto the main road and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass a few small local shops on your right. Keep an eye out for signs leading to Mawniya. After approximately 5 minutes, you will reach a junction; take the right fork. Continue on this road for another 3 kilometers until you see the sign for Alase Vikk on your left. The destination is located at GWR6+8CW, Mawniya, Oyo. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Alase Vikk via public transportation, first, you need to take a motorcycle taxi (okada) or a shared taxi from the IITA Forest Reserve to the nearest bus stop in Ibadan. This ride should cost you around 200-300 NGN. From the bus stop, look for a bus heading towards Mawniya. The fare should be about 500 NGN. Once you arrive in Mawniya, ask the driver to drop you off at GWR6+8CW or near Alase Vikk. The entrance will be a short walk from there.
Walking
If you are already in a nearby area within the IITA Forest Reserve and prefer walking, head towards the main road outside the reserve. Once you reach the road, turn left and walk for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Follow the same directions as if you were driving, keeping an eye out for the Alase Vikk sign on your left. The walk may take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
