From the main entrance of IITA Forest Reserve, drive south on the main road for approximately 2 kilometers. You will reach a junction where you will take a left turn at the sign for 'Mellanby Water Fount'. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you see a small parking area on your right. Park your car here, as the water fount is just a short walk from this point.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take a local taxi or a motorcycle taxi (okada) from the IITA bus stop. Inform the driver you are heading to 'Mellanby Water Fount'. The fare should range from 300 to 500 Naira, depending on your negotiation skills and traffic conditions. The driver will drop you off at the entrance to the footpath leading to the fount. From there, walk down the path for about 10 minutes to reach the Mellanby Water Fount.

If you are already within the IITA Forest Reserve and prefer to walk, start from the central area where the visitor center is located. Head south towards the main road, then turn left and follow the road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the sign for 'Mellanby Water Fount'. Continue straight, and after a short walk, you will arrive at the fount.
