Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Calabar, the capital of Cross River State. Drive north on the Calabar-Akamkpa Road (A1) for about 33 kilometers. Once you reach Akamkpa, look for signs to Oban Road. Continue along Oban Road for approximately 10 kilometers until you see the sign for Kwa Falls. Make sure to have some cash for any road tolls you might encounter.

Public Transportation

To reach Kwa Falls via public transport, first head to the Calabar Motor Park. From there, take a bus or shared taxi heading towards Akamkpa. The fare is usually around 200-300 NGN. Inform the driver that you are going to Kwa Falls so they can drop you off at the closest point. After getting off, you may need to walk about 2 kilometers along Oban Road to reach the falls. Alternatively, you can hire a motorcycle taxi, which may cost approximately 500-700 NGN.

Motorcycle Taxi

If you prefer a quicker option, consider hiring a motorcycle taxi (okada) from Akamkpa. This option is convenient as the riders are familiar with the area. The fare should be around 500 NGN, and they will take you directly to the entrance of Kwa Falls.
