Car
If you are traveling by car from cities in the South South region, start by driving towards Jos, Plateau State. From Port Harcourt, take the East-West Road (A2) towards Aba, then continue to the A122 road to connect to the A1 highway towards Jos. Once you reach Jos, follow signs to Shere Hills, which is located approximately 20 kilometers from the city center. The last part of your journey will involve taking the Bassa Road, which leads directly to Shere Hills. Ensure to check your vehicle's fuel level, as petrol stations may be sparse in some areas.
Public Transportation
To reach Shere Hills using public transportation, first take a bus or shared taxi from any major city in South South, such as Port Harcourt or Aba, to Jos. Buses frequently depart from major terminals, and the fare typically ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 NGN depending on your starting point. Once you arrive in Jos, you can take a local taxi or motorcycle (okada) to Shere Hills. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should be around 1,000 NGN to 1,500 NGN for the trip to Shere Hills.
