Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from any major city in the South West of Nigeria, such as Lagos or Ibadan. Make your way to the A121 highway, heading towards the northern regions. As you approach the town of Ogugu in Kogi State, take the exit towards Ogugu III. Continue straight until you reach Udi Hills, which is located at latitude 7.1667 and longitude 7.5. Ensure you have a GPS or a reliable map as the roads can be winding. Note that fuel stations may be limited, so fill up before leaving major cities.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Udi Hills using public transportation, start from a major bus terminal in your city (e.g., Lagos or Ibadan). Board a bus heading towards Lokoja or Kogi State. The fare typically ranges from ₦2,000 to ₦3,500 depending on your departure city. Ask the driver or conductor to drop you off at Ogugu bus stop. From there, you can either hire a local taxi or motorcycle (Okada) to take you directly to Udi Hills. The taxi fare should be around ₦500 to ₦1,000.

• Motorcycle (Okada)

  Once you arrive at Ogugu, if you prefer a more adventurous option, hire a motorcycle (Okada) for a faster, more flexible ride to Udi Hills. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should cost between ₦500 to ₦1,000 for the ride. Ensure to wear a helmet for safety, which is often provided by the rider.

• Local Taxi

  After reaching Ogugu, you can also opt for a local taxi to Udi Hills. Local taxis are generally available near the bus stop. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey; expect to pay between ₦500 to ₦1,000. The taxi will take you directly to the base of Udi Hills, making it a comfortable option.
