    Starting from the center of Slaughter Bay, head south on the main road, which is also known as the Bounty Road. Continue driving for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Norfolk Island National Park on your left. Turn left into the park entrance and follow the signs directing you toward Bird Rock Lookout. After about 500 meters, you will find a parking area. The lookout is a short walk from the parking area, which is well marked.

    If you are using public transportation, you can take the local shuttle service that operates around Slaughter Bay. Board the shuttle at any major stop within Slaughter Bay, and inform the driver that you are heading to Norfolk Island National Park. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the park entrance, there will be clear signage directing you to Bird Rock Lookout. From the drop-off point, it is a short walk (about 500 meters) to the lookout.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk to Bird Rock Lookout from your accommodation in Slaughter Bay, head south on Bounty Road and follow the same route as described for driving. This walk will take approximately 30 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Once you enter Norfolk Island National Park, look for the signs leading to the lookout.
