Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Boone Town Center (located at 567 W King St, Boone, NC 28607), head east on W King St toward S Water St. Continue walking straight for about 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with Locust St. Turn left onto Locust St and walk for approximately 0.3 miles. You will see the B.B. Dougherty Administration Building on your right at 175 Locust St, which is adjacent to Durham Park. The park entrance will be accessible from the building's parking area.

• Public Transport

  If you are near the Appalachian State University campus, you can take the AppalCart bus service. Board the Gold Route bus, which travels toward the B.B. Dougherty Administration Building. The bus stop is located near the Student Union. Once you arrive at the stop, walk toward the building at 175 Locust St. Durham Park will be next to the building, and you can access it from the parking area.

• Biking

  For those biking from downtown Boone, head east on W King St and continue for about 0.4 miles. Turn left onto Locust St and bike for approximately 0.3 miles. The B.B. Dougherty Administration Building will be on your right at 175 Locust St. You can park your bike in the designated bike racks near the entrance of the building before entering the park.
