Founders Plaza – The Heart of Boone, North Carolina

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the center of Boone, head east on East King Street. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with South Water Street. Turn left onto South Water Street and walk for about 0.2 miles. You will see Founders Plaza located on your right. The plaza is situated near the Appalachian State University campus, making it a great spot for photos and relaxation.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, you can start at the Boone Greenway Trail. Ride west on the trail, which leads you through beautiful scenery. After about 1 mile, you will come to the end of the trail. From there, continue on Blowing Rock Road heading towards East King Street. Turn left onto East King Street and bike for about 0.3 miles. Turn right onto South Water Street, and you will find Founders Plaza on your left, just a short distance ahead.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, check the local bus schedule for the AppalCart service. Board a bus heading towards the Appalachian State University campus. Get off at the stop closest to the University Bookstore. From there, walk east on East King Street for about 0.3 miles, then turn left onto South Water Street. Founders Plaza will be on your right, just a short walk away.
