Getting There

Bus
From Boone, head to the Boone Transit bus stop located near the Appalachian State University campus at 222 College St. Board the 'AppalCart' bus route 'Red' towards Blowing Rock. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Blowing Rock stop. Once you disembark, walk approximately 0.3 miles east along Main Street (US-321) until you reach The Blowing Rock entrance sign.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Boone. Start at the Appalachian State University area and head south on Blowing Rock Road (NC-221). Follow the road for about 3.5 miles. The ride will take you along scenic views, and as you approach Blowing Rock, look for the signage directing you to The Blowing Rock on your left. There is bike parking available at the site.
