Walking
Start at the center of Boone, at the intersection of King Street and Hardin Street. Head south on Hardin Street toward Blowing Rock Road (US-321). At the intersection, turn left onto Blowing Rock Road. Continue straight for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn right onto the Parkway. Follow the Parkway for about 3.5 miles until you see the signs for Moses Cone Manor. The manor is located at 6570 Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock, NC 28605. The walk will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Boone. Start at the intersection of King Street and Hardin Street and head south on Hardin Street. Turn left onto Blowing Rock Road (US-321) and cycle for about 2.5 miles. When you reach the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, turn right. Continue cycling along the Parkway for approximately 3.5 miles. Watch for the signs directing you to Moses Cone Manor, located at 6570 Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock, NC 28605. The bike ride will take around 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.
Public Transportation
Check with the local bus services, as there may be seasonal routes that run toward Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Look for the route that goes from Boone to Blowing Rock. Once you arrive in Blowing Rock, you can either walk or take a taxi to Moses Cone Manor. If you walk, head towards the Blue Ridge Parkway from downtown Blowing Rock, which is about a 1-mile distance. Follow the Parkway signs to reach the manor located at 6570 Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock, NC 28605.
