    From Central Chapel Hill, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the GoTriangle Route 405 bus toward Durham. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest times. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the stop for Duke Homestead Rd. From the bus stop, walk about 0.5 miles north on Duke Homestead Rd until you reach the entrance to Duke Homestead.

Start from downtown Chapel Hill and head north on N Columbia St, which turns into Duke St. Continue on Duke St until you reach US-15-501 N.
