Walking
If you are near the heart of downtown Chapel Hill, start at the intersection of Franklin Street and Columbia Street. Head south on Columbia Street for about two blocks until you reach the main entrance of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus. As you enter the campus, follow the path straight ahead, passing by the iconic Old Well on your right. Continue walking straight until you arrive at McCorkle Place, which is a beautiful open area located in the center of the campus, surrounded by historic buildings and trees.

If you are further away, you can take the Chapel Hill Transit bus. Look for the nearest bus stop and catch the 'U' route (University route). The bus will take you directly to the UNC campus. Get off at the stop labeled 'South Road at Bynum Hall.' After disembarking, walk towards the main campus entrance. Proceed straight until you reach McCorkle Place, which will be on your left, just beyond the Old Well.

For those who prefer biking, there are several bike rental stations around Chapel Hill. Rent a bike and head toward the University of North Carolina campus. Enter at the main entrance on South Road. Once inside, follow the bike paths toward McCorkle Place. You can lock your bike at one of the bike racks available near the entrance of the park.
