    If you are driving, start by getting onto I-277 from your location in Charlotte. Follow signs for I-85 N. Merge onto I-85 N and continue for about 5 miles. Take exit 40 for NC-24 E/NC-27 E/Independence Blvd. Merge onto Independence Blvd and continue for about 2 miles. Turn right onto Shamrock Dr, and the Charlotte Museum of History will be on your left at 3500 Shamrock Dr, Charlotte, NC 28215. There is free parking available on site.

    To reach the Charlotte Museum of History using public transportation, start by finding your nearest CATS (Charlotte Area Transit System) bus stop. Take the CATS bus route 11 (Central Avenue) towards the Eastland Mall.
