Continue on US-74 E for about 5 miles, then take exit 244 for Independence Blvd/US-74 E. Follow Independence Blvd for approximately 3 miles, then turn left onto Shamrock Drive. Continue on Shamrock Drive for about 1 mile, and you will find the Charlotte Museum of History on your right at 3500 Shamrock Dr, Charlotte, NC 28215. Parking is available on-site, and there should be no additional costs for parking.

Public Transportation
To reach the Charlotte Museum of History via public transportation, you can take the CATS bus system. From downtown Charlotte, board the CATS bus route 11 (University City) at any stop along the line. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at Shamrock Drive. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop. Walk approximately 0.5 miles along Shamrock Drive heading east, and you will arrive at the museum. Note that a one-way bus fare is around $2.20, and you will need exact change or a CATS pass.

If you prefer to bike, Charlotte has several bike lanes and trails. From downtown, you can follow the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. Head north until you reach the intersection with Independence Blvd. From there, you can navigate to Shamrock Drive. It’s approximately a 5-mile bike ride.
