Car
If you are driving from Morehead City, head east on Arendell St towards 34th St. Continue for about 3 miles, then take the NC-24 E exit towards Jacksonville. Follow NC-24 E for approximately 16 miles. Merge onto NC-58 S and continue for about 18 miles. Turn left onto Harkers Island Rd (NC-70). After around 4 miles, you will reach the entrance for the Cape Lookout Lighthouse area. Follow the signs to the lighthouse parking area.

From Morehead City, take the public bus (if available) to Harkers Island. You may need to check the local transit schedules as they can vary. Once you arrive at Harkers Island, you can either walk to the lighthouse if it is not too far or arrange for a local taxi or rideshare to take you to 1800 Island Rd, Harkers Island, NC 28531. The lighthouse is well-signposted, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.
