Car
From Foothills, NC, head southwest on NC-28 S. Continue on NC-28 S for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with US-411 S. Turn left onto US-411 S and continue for about 10 miles. Merge onto TN-68 S and drive for another 9 miles. When you approach Tellico Plains, turn left onto River Rd. Follow River Rd for about 3 miles, and Bald River Falls will be on your right. There is no entrance fee to access the falls.

If you are using public transportation, first take a bus or shuttle service from Foothills to the nearest major city, such as Asheville, NC. From Asheville, you can take a Greyhound bus to Madisonville, TN. From Madisonville, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to River Rd in Tellico Plains, which is approximately 30 minutes away. Expect to pay for the bus fare (around $20-$50 depending on the distance) and the taxi service (which could range from $30 to $60).
