Car
From the center of Foothills, get on US-321 S from your location. Continue on US-321 S for approximately 20 miles. You will pass through the towns of Lenoir City and into Townsend, TN. Once in Townsend, follow the signs for Cades Cove by taking a left onto TN-73 E (Lamar Alexander Parkway). Continue on TN-73 E for about 12 miles until you reach the entrance to Cades Cove Loop Road. The scenic loop is approximately a 10-mile drive, with numerous opportunities to pull over and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Public Transportation
Using public transportation, start by locating the nearest bus station in Foothills. You can take the local transit bus to Knoxville, TN. From Knoxville, transfer to a Greyhound or a similar service that goes to Townsend, TN. Once you arrive in Townsend, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Cades Cove Loop entrance, which is about 10 miles from the town center. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance for any required transfers and to ensure availability, as services may be limited.
