Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Gatlinburg, TN, which is a common entry point to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Head east on US-321 S for about 12 miles. Then, turn left onto the Great Smoky Mountains Parkway (US-441 S). Continue for approximately 6 miles until you reach the Greenbrier entrance to the park. Once you enter the park, follow signs for the Cosby Campground Road. This road will take you to the parking area for the Mt. Cammerer trailhead, located just off the side road leading to Cosby Campground. Parking is free, but be sure to arrive early as spots can fill up quickly during peak seasons.

Public Transportation and Hiking
If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus or shuttle to Gatlinburg, TN. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Greenbrier entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Once at the entrance, the only way to reach Mt. Cammerer is by hiking. Follow the signs to the Mt. Cammerer Trailhead from the parking area.
