  If you are driving to Chimney Rock from a location within the Great Smoky Mountains, you will want to head towards US-64 E. Depending on your starting point, follow these general directions: 1) From Cherokee, NC, take US-441 S towards Sylva. 2) Merge onto US-74 E towards Asheville. 3) Take exit 72 for US-64 E towards Rutherfordton. 4) Follow US-64 E until you reach NC-9 N, which will take you directly into Chimney Rock. 5) Continue on NC-9 N until you reach Chimney Rock Village. The park entrance will be on your left at 431 Main St, Chimney Rock, NC 28720. Be aware that parking fees may apply at the park.

• Public Transportation

  Unfortunately, public transportation options directly to Chimney Rock State Park are limited. However, visitors can take a Greyhound or local bus service to nearby towns such as Asheville or Hendersonville. From Asheville, you can use local taxi services or rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft to reach Chimney Rock. The distance from Asheville to Chimney Rock is about 25 miles, and it will take roughly 40-50 minutes by car. Expect to pay between $30-$50 for a taxi or rideshare service.
