Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Gatlinburg, take US-441 S towards Pigeon Forge. Continue on US-441 S and follow signs to I-40 E. Merge onto I-40 E toward Asheville. Take exit 66A for I-26 E toward Hendersonville. Continue on I-26 E and take exit 49B for US-64 E. Follow US-64 E for about 30 miles until you reach Chimney Rock. Once in Chimney Rock, follow Main St to 431 Main St, where the park entrance is located. Note that parking is available on-site for a fee of approximately $5.00 per vehicle.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take the Greyhound bus to Asheville, NC. From Asheville, you will need to use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) or a taxi to reach Chimney Rock State Park. The distance from Asheville to Chimney Rock is about 25 miles, and the rideshare fare may vary but typically ranges from $30 to $50. Once you arrive at Chimney Rock, the park is located at 431 Main St, Chimney Rock, NC 28720.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Asheville and follow the same route as if you were driving. The ride to Chimney Rock is approximately 25 miles and is quite scenic, but be prepared for some hilly terrain. Ensure you have a helmet and good bike lock.
