Soaring Above Gatlinburg: The Gatlinburg Space Needle

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Gatlinburg from any point in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Use the main roads leading out of the park. Once you reach Gatlinburg, follow the signs to the city center. Turn onto Historic Nature Trail from Parkway (US-441). The Gatlinburg Space Needle will be on your right at 115 Historic Nature Trail. There is parking available nearby, but note that parking fees may apply.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check for local shuttle services that operate in the Gatlinburg area. The Gatlinburg Trolley is a convenient option with various routes around the city. Look for the route that includes a stop at Historic Nature Trail. Once you board the trolley, simply ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Gatlinburg Space Needle stop.

• Walking

  If you are staying in a hotel or lodge within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg, you can easily walk to the Gatlinburg Space Needle. From the Parkway (US-441), head towards Historic Nature Trail. Follow the pedestrian walkways; the Space Needle is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the main shopping area of Gatlinburg.
