From downtown Hendersonville, head to the nearest public bus stop on Main Street. Take the Route 1 bus towards Asheville. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the transfer point at the Asheville Transit Center. Transfer to the Route 4 bus heading towards Gallatin. Stay on this bus for about 45 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Zieglers Fort Rd, then walk about 15 minutes to the entrance of Bledsoe Creek State Park.

If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Hendersonville. Begin your ride on Main Street heading north. Follow the bike-friendly paths along Highway 258. After about 8 miles, take a left turn onto Zieglers Fort Rd. Continue straight for about 2 miles until you reach Bledsoe Creek State Park. It’s a scenic route with some gentle hills, so be prepared for a bit of a workout!

If you’re feeling adventurous and the weather permits, you can walk to Bledsoe Creek State Park. Start from the center of Hendersonville and walk north along Main Street. Follow the sidewalk to Highway 258, then continue walking on the side of the road for about 10 miles. As you approach Zieglers Fort Rd, turn left and walk another 2 miles to reach the park entrance. It’s a long trek, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water!
