Bus
From downtown Franklin, walk to the Franklin Transit Authority bus stop located at 1600 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064. Take bus route 1 towards Nashville. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the stop near the intersection of Lebanon Pike and Old Hickory Blvd. From there, you can catch the Route 34 bus towards Hermitage. After about 20 minutes on Route 34, get off at the stop closest to Percy Priest Lake. Follow the signs to walk towards the lake, which is just a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Bike
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in downtown Franklin. Once you have your bike, head northeast on Main Street towards U.S. 31. Continue onto the Greenway Trail, which will take you through beautiful scenery. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with Old Hickory Lake Road. Turn right and follow the road for about 5 miles until you arrive at Percy Priest Lake. The ride should take around 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start at the Franklin Public Library located at 108 2nd Ave S, Franklin, TN 37064. Head east on 2nd Ave S towards Main St, then turn left onto Main St. Continue until you reach US-31. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and continue north. Walk for about 3 miles along the sidewalk, which will take you towards the lake area. Keep an eye out for directional signs to Percy Priest Lake, which is located just off the main road.
