Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from downtown Morganton, head southwest on NC-181 S. Continue on NC-181 S for about 9 miles until you reach the intersection with NC-126. Turn left onto NC-126 E and follow it for approximately 7 miles. You will then merge onto I-40 E towards Wilmington. After about 5 miles, take exit 105 for US-70 E toward Statesville. Continue on US-70 E until you reach the exit for NC-126 N. Take this exit, and follow NC-126 N for about 3 miles. Turn right onto Lake James Road, and after about a mile, you will arrive at Lake James Beach.
