If you are starting from downtown Hickory, head east on 1st Ave NW towards 3rd St NW. Continue straight for about two blocks until you reach 3rd St NW. Turn left onto 3rd St NW and walk for approximately 4 blocks. You will then turn right onto 3rd Ave NE. The Hickory Museum of Art will be on your left at 243 3rd Ave NE. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the downtown area.

From the nearest bus stop, take the Catawba Valley Community College Connector (Route 1) heading towards the Hickory City Hall. After about 5 stops, disembark at the Hickory City Hall stop. From there, walk east on 1st Ave NW towards 3rd St NW. Turn left onto 3rd St NW and continue walking for about 4 blocks. Turn right onto 3rd Ave NE, and the museum will be on your left at 243 3rd Ave NE. The total transit and walking time should take approximately 30 minutes.
