Start at the Hickory Transit Station located at 400 1st Ave SW, Hickory, NC 28602. Take Route 1 towards Catawba. You will need to transfer at the Catawba stop. From there, take Route 2 towards Murrays Mill. The bus should stop near Murrays Mill Rd. Once you get off the bus, head east on Murrays Mill Rd for about half a mile until you reach the Historic Site at 1489 Murrays Mill Rd, Catawba, NC 28609.

From downtown Hickory, start at the intersection of Main Ave NE and 1st St NE. Head northeast on Main Ave NE toward 4th St NE. Continue until you reach the intersection with US-321 N. Turn left onto US-321 N and follow it for about 8 miles. When you reach the Catawba area, take the exit for Murrays Mill Rd. Continue on Murrays Mill Rd for about 1 mile to arrive at the Historic Site located at 1489 Murrays Mill Rd, Catawba, NC 28609.

If you are starting from downtown Hickory, head west on Main Ave NW toward 1st St NW. Turn left onto 1st St NW and continue until you reach the intersection with 2nd Ave NW. Turn right onto 2nd Ave NW and head towards US-321 N. Cross US-321 N and continue on the pedestrian path along the highway. Follow the signs leading towards Catawba, which is approximately 5 miles away. Once you reach Murrays Mill Rd, walk south for about 0.5 miles to reach the Historic Site at 1489 Murrays Mill Rd, Catawba, NC 28609.
