If you're driving from the Inner Banks region, take US-64 E towards Nags Head. From Nags Head, continue on US-158 E until you reach the town of Hatteras. Follow NC-12 S, which is known as the Outer Banks Scenic Byway. You'll eventually reach the ferry terminal in Hatteras. Board the ferry to Ocracoke Island. The ferry ride is approximately 40 minutes and costs around $15 for a standard vehicle. Once you arrive on Ocracoke Island, follow NC-12 N and then turn onto Lighthouse Rd. The Ocracoke Lighthouse will be on your right at 360 Lighthouse Rd, Ocracoke, NC 27960.
