Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Nantahala National Forest. Head northeast on US-19 N. After approximately 10 miles, take a left onto NC-28 N. Continue on NC-28 N for about 7 miles, then turn right onto Big Creek Rd. Follow Big Creek Rd for about 2 miles until you reach the Secret Falls Trail Head parking area. The trail head is located at coordinates 35.0086292, -83.1664975. Please note that parking may not be free; check for any posted fees.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest town, which is Highlands, NC. From Highlands, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Secret Falls Trail Head at Big Creek Rd, which is about 8 miles from the town center. Once you arrive at Big Creek Rd, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach the trail head. Be sure to confirm any taxi or rideshare costs before your trip.

For those who prefer cycling, you can start from the center of Nantahala National Forest. Ride northeast on US-19 N for about 10 miles, then take a left onto NC-28 N. Continue for about 7 miles before turning right onto Big Creek Rd. The trail head is approximately 2 miles down Big Creek Rd. Ensure you have a proper map or GPS device as some areas may have limited cell service.
